Williamsville
Girls
Varsity Golf Teams We are very excited that you have
chosen to become a part of one of the 3 Williamsville Girls Varsity Golf Teams.
2009 marks our fourth year in existence and our first year as three
separate teams. We are very
excited to become three separate teams as this allows more girls the opportunity
to compete in matches. What does
this mean for as coaches? You will
still have all three of the coaches working with your girls as we have in the
past. The biggest change will
be that each high school will compete individually and will compete against one
another along with competing against Lancaster and the Msgr. Martin League. The Msgr. Martin League now has
two (2) Divisions. Division 1 rules are
as follows: Stroke play All matches must be 9 holes on a
regulation course 6 players
from each team compete per match, top 5 players score count towards match When we play Lancaster or another
Section VI team the rules are as follows: Stroke play All matches must be 9 holes on a
regulation course 5 players
from each team compete per match, top 4 players score count towards match Division
2 Stroke play All matches will be played on a
par 3 course or play 4 or 5 holes on regulation course (to be determined by the
host course) No limit on number of players for
match Players will be determined based
on score and skill which division they will be in.
Players can move up during the season.
Every coach will work with each player at different times.
Every girl will get a chance to work with Coach PJ however, please
understand her time cannot be monopolized by any one player.
She is available for private lessons at Brookfield Country Club. Transportation:
To practice and home matches at Audubon must be provided by parents.
Away matches a bus will pick players up at their high school unless we
have a combined match then pick-up and drop-off site will be designated on the
schedule. Middle school players must
get their own rides to the high school if they are playing in the matches.
All players must be dropped off and picked up from Audubon Par 3.
We do not want any players crossing Communication:
We will do most of our communication via the website: www.upstatenyjuniorgolf.com
. There is a box labeled
Williamsville Girls Varsity Golf Team on the home page.
That will take you to a page where you can access the schedule and
information for Division 1 and Division 2 players.
I will only list players by their first names and last initials.
You will be able to contact me via email from the website. Cancellations/Absentees:
Practices/Matches we will notify each school as soon as we know.
Players it is up to you to listen to announcements carefully.
If in doubt you can contact your team captain or me at 310-8275.
If you are going to be absent from practice please notify me by email.
If you are going to be absent for a match please notify me by email or
phone ASAP so I can find a replacement. Team Captains: North:
